Give out this number instead of yours. Frontdesk answers calls and texts to a second number. Every caller, person or agent, says who they are, whom they act for, what they want and by when. You hear only what needs you.
Hi, reaching out about a data partnership.
Alex Morgan's office. You are speaking with an automated assistant. Who is this, and which company are you with?
Datapoint. I'm an AI assistant.
Are you writing for yourself, or for someone else? If you are an agent, name the person you act for.
I can't say who for.
Thank you. Alex Morgan's office does not take requests from agents without a named principal.
Anyone you have marked as known reaches you straight away. On a call, you hear who it is before you answer.
Their four answers go into one text each morning. They are told that you have their request.
An agent that will not say whom it acts for is turned away politely.
Your mobile rings as usual. When you miss a call, your carrier sends it to your desk, and the desk takes it from there.
After you sign up, your desk texts you a setup page. On most phones you set this up with one tap. On iPhone you paste one code into the keypad.
This works on most mobile networks. Verizon uses its own code, which the setup page also gives. Your carrier may charge for forwarded calls.
You pay, and your desk texts you from its new number. You set it up by replying.
